Songs I Ship With Books

I have missed you all so much, I thought I would do this thing I came up with. Some songs are just magically linked to particular books in my warped brain. Maybe because I've bawled to the pair of them at 1 am, or because they both ruled my life for a week. I'm just going to name the book with the designated song and a short elaboration.

1. Books: The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins

Music: So many, but I'll pick Shattered by Trading Yesterday

Reason: When I finished Mockingjay, in October, I sat staring out the window and the moment I stopped reading, fireworks lit up the sky. I hadn't shut my playlist off yet, and Shattered played in the background.

2. Books: Divergent Series by Veronica Roth

Music: Tough pick, but this one's Angel with a Shotgun by The Cab, nightcore version

Reason: Don't really know

3. Books: The Host by Marissa Meyer

Music: They Will Fall Like Roses by of Verona

Reason: Simultaneous addiction.

4. Books: The Giver Quartet by Lois Lowry

Music: Clarity by Zedd, NightcoreReality version

Reason: Simultaneous addiction

5. Books: The Maze Runner Trilogy by James Dashner

Music: Still by Daughter, possibly Smother by Daughter

Reason: Simultaneous addiction, aka listening to those songs while you read the books

Reason: It was the first song I listened to after finishing Deathly Hallows

8. Books: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Music: Fog by Rachel Rose Mitchell 

Reason: I was trying to finish this book at night and listened to this song in the background for the first time. When I started crying, I couldn't decide whether it was the book or the song that did the trick.

Reason: Yeah... Reading, listening, and weeping.

Music: Off I Go by Greg Laswell

Reason: See #9.

11. Books: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carol

Music: Hey Alice by Rachel Rose Mitchell

Reason: Duh.

Reason: Simultaneous addiction and swoony romance.
