Second Phase Wrap Up and Third Phase Plans

Wow, where did those three to four months go? Sorry for my lack of activity in this section of the year. My reading and reviewing life have gone to the backdrop a little to give way to lots of writing and quality time. Anyway, there's an exciting time coming, so I look forward to telling you about it.

For Your Information:
First Period: 1-1 to 8-5
Second Period: 9-5 to 21-8
Third Period: 22-8 to 31-12
Note: The first period does not have a 'plans', nor does the last period have a 'wrap up'. These will be semi-included in the 2016 Recap and 2017 Goals and Plans.

Wrap Up

Okay, I'm going to be honest with you: I've been very preoccupied the past couple months. There was school to think about first, then my family life spun about a little. There were journeys, which I didn't recap (sorry), and events to prepare for. Writing has been going great, though, which is my primary goal for the time being. (And convincing my mom of the option of going to Cambridge in two years. Wish me luck.)

These are the books I've read:

Graceling by Kirstin Cashore
The Puppet Boy of Warsaw by Eva Weaver
The Winner's Kiss by Marie Rutkoski
A Long, Long Sleep by Anne Sheehan
The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan
The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

What's To Come

There are loads of blog posts coming your way because September and October are the Banned Books Reading Months. I will be discussing tons of challenged books (the first being the source material of the GIF above) and censorship in general. More information will soon come your way on this one, so I won't go into it now.

Travel:
This time, I am actually going to London. For private reasons, I didn't go with my family because things didn't go too well at the time, but in November/December, I am going with school. You aren't getting a recap because after I'd put the Berlin recap online, my friend told me she'd found something online that she thought was mine. After having a heart attack and losing sleep for a night it didn't end up being the Berlin recap, but it's not worth all of the stress for me. Nevertheless, I do look forward to London a great deal. I don't have the dates yet, but I won't be writing any blog posts during that time.

Blog:
As I said, banned books in abundance. I think after finishing that I will quite a little burned out so don't expect too much activity from me during the holidays. Also, did you notice the URL changed? Nice, right? I have fewer views as for the moment, but that's okay. HAHA totally not.

Writing:
I'm about to finish the first act of the first draft. I'm so proud of myself. I suppose I will bombard you with tips and experiences at some point, but for now, I'll just focus on getting that first draft on paper.

Reading:

This will inevitably begin with maniacal ambition and end in complete neglect. But I'm only around seven books away from reaching my Goodreads Reading Challenge so it's fine.

School:

It's the same every year.

Readers,
I'll see you on
Wednesday.
